LASC Update | March 20, 2020

Friday, March 20, 2020[From Los Angeles Soccer Club]

Dear Families,

Despite the difficult circumstances we are all facing we hope all of you and your families are safe and healthy.

As of now, we do not know exactly when training and games will resume. We are hopeful that it will be in April and will not have much effect on our overall annual development program. Cal South has postponed all activities until at least April 17th and we will do the same. We will only consider returning to the fields once it is deemed safe by the authorities on the subject.

We understand that these circumstances present many challenges and our goal is to help our community in any small way possible. With the possibility of a few weeks to a month or more break we have decided to build a simple, but effective technical workout for our players. Our hope is to help keep their minds and bodies active and engaged. The workout includes both written material with descriptions along with a video to help guide everyone. This will be available to all LASC families via our website. Within the next 1-2 days please expect to receive an internal web address and password from your coach or manager. This link will give you access to the workout materials. Moving forward we will continue to share resources to help keep our community engaged during this time of social distancing and self-quarantine. Please, share videos of your workouts on social media and tag us @lasoccerclub, or send them with us at info@lasoccerclub.org and we will share them on our social media channels.

We appreciate how challenging this is for everyone and our hope is to partner with our families (our community) to make the best out of a difficult situation.

In time, this will pass and we will get through it together. Until then, let’s all take this time to connect and share with those we love and cherish.

Stay Safe and Healthy,
Los Angeles Soccer Club

P.S. We know that you are inundated with emails, tv shows, news, and social posts about the coronavirus. We are only a soccer club and will not pretend to be the most important thing in your lives, have all the answers, or be an authority on the subject. We will only attempt to be a valuable member of the community and do our part to help where we are able.
