Stay Home, Stay Safe, and Get Touches!

A message for the players

Players,

During this time of uncertainty in our lives, it is important to focus on family. Their comfort, safety, and your parent’s sanity are more important than ever. Be helpful, pick up after yourself and offer to help clean the house, take out the trash, wash dishes, or whatever else you can do to help.

Once your schoolwork and chores are finished, go crazy with a soccer ball. Maybe not crazy, but you get the idea. This is a great opportunity to become best friends with the ball. Think more, Bend it like Beckham and less Wilson from Castaway.

This will pass and life will return to normal and we will all get through this together. Games, practices, and all those fun things will be back before you know it.

Just remember that you have the choice to use this time to become a better player or to stagnate. The choice is yours and yours alone. If you dream of playing in college or in the professional ranks, the art of self-training is not optional. It is necessary and expected! We have also started making videos specifically for keeping fit and getting stronger as well. It’s all part of being an athlete.

Use this time to get better and form habits. Push yourself! Your parents and coaches will not always be there to do it for you.

This video can be used as a daily training routine. This is not about performing fancy moves, but about building a solid base of technical skills. Everything you do, with a ball, on the field, will be built on top of proper technical mastery.

We can’t wait to get back on the field with you and see how all of you have grown.
